PETROPERU will supply fuels to the Grupo Volcan

Grupo Volcan, one of the world's largest producers of zinc, lead and silver, signed with PETROPERU two Supply and Service Delivery contracts that will allow it to ensure the supply of fuel for the operations of its two social denominations: Compañía Minera Volcan S.A.A. and Compañía Minera Chungar S.A.C.

A total of 700 barrels per calendar day will be supplied to trucks over 100 tons, to maintain the operations of its operating units in Yauli, Chungar, Alpamarca and Cerro de Pasco active; which includes twelve mines, seven concentrator plants and a leaching plant located in the province of Yauli, in Junín (Huaripampa-San Cristóbal, Andaychagua and Ticlio) and in Pasco (Animón and Alpamarca).

The contracts also include a new model for the mining logistics chain, which includes the management of the mine's internal inventory, the dispatch of fuels in the service stations of the operations and the supply itself.

PETROPERU will assign a team of 70 workers to provide the service.

With the signing of this contract, PETROPERU becomes a strategic partner of the Grupo Volcan, by sharing the risk and benefits that can be obtained from the best productivity and effectiveness of its operations.
