PETROPERU will sponsor athletes participating in the Panamerican Games

PETROPERU, official sponsor of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, will also sponsor four athletes participating in this event: María Fernanda Reyes (Surf), Dunia Felices (ParaSwimming), Andy Martínez (Athletics) and Efraín Sotacuro (ParaAthletics). They will uphold the name of Peru in this competition that will be held from July 26 until September 1.

Surfer María Fernanda Reyes is Isa World Longboard Surf runner-up in 2018. With only 20 years she will participate for the first time in the Pan American Games, after the inclusion of this sport as an Olympic discipline in this edition.

Dunia Felices is an Ayacucho paraswimmer who reached sixth place in the Paralympic Swimming World Cup in 2018, is an ambassador for the 2019 Lima Games, will look for the gold in the Pan American Games and its classification to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Andy Martínez is the fastest man in the country, holds the national record in 100 flat meters with 10 seconds 20 hundredths. He is one of the main representatives of the national athletics with the option to obtain a golden medal.

Efraín Sotacuro is a Huancavelica long-distance runner who won fifth place in the Paralympic Marathon World Championship held in London this year, also achieved fourth place in the Paralympic Marathon in the Rio 2016 Olympics; and is emerging as the great candidate in Lima 2019.

It should be noted that PETROPERU is the “Official Fuel of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games” with which it will guarantee the supply of the Lima 2019 bus fleet - integrated by 350 units - in two stations located in Villa El Salvador and El Callao.

The Lima 2019 Pan American Games will be inaugurated on July 26, 2019. The continental event will gather 6,680 athletes from 41 countries and delegations from all over America, who will participate in 39 sports and 61 disciplines. For its part, the ParaPanamerican Games will house 1,890 for athletes from 33 countries, who will participate in 17 sports and 18 disciplines.

PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to sport by supporting the young talents of Peruvian sport that will be part of the most important sporting event on the continent and the most transcendental in the world after the Olympic Games.
