Petroperú, within the framework of its cycle of technical conferences "Energy Talks", will present this Thursday, November 24 at 7 pm two technical talks related to the "Advances of the Start-up Process of the New Talara Refinery", through the Facebook Live of the company.

The virtual event will develop in detail topics on the operation of the Vacuum Distillation, Hydrogen Production and Purification units, and Hydrotreatment plants within the framework of the start-up process of the New Talara Refinery (NRT), which will allow supplying the market with the highest quality products available.

The technical talks will be given on this occasion by the manager of the PMRT and Management Department of Petroperú, Arturo Rodríguez Paredes, with extensive experience in oil refining operations; and the commissioned manager of the Spanish firm Técnicas Reunidas, Antonio Saura, one of the world's leading refinery start-up specialists, who will share his experience, acquired over more than 34 years in this global industry.

Through these conferences, the public will be able to learn about the advances in technical innovation of the NRT through the implementation of technologies that represent the most important contribution of new knowledge and processes to the country.

The "Energy Talks" seek to publicize the plans and projects that Petroperú currently has underway and include presentations on relevant issues of its technical management, by its officials and also by experts from the energy and hydrocarbons sector, who participate as guests.

The New Talara Refinery has been built under the highest international standards. It has 16 processing units and five packages of auxiliary units and complementary services, two liquid loading docks and 21 new storage tanks, being one of the most modern deep conversion refineries in Latin America.
