PETROPERU will carry out water and sanitation projects under the mechanism of works for taxes in Amazonian communities
PETROPERU will make a reality, through its Social Management policy, the execution of 12 water and sanitation projects for the benefit of 16 native communities located in the Morona river basin, in the Loreto province of Dátem del Marañón.
This after the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation issued Ministerial Resolution No. 233-2020-HOUSING through which the Preliminary Acts phase that provides for the Works for Taxes (OXI) mechanism is initiated, benefiting more than 400 families.
The communities benefited from these projects are Antena 4, Copacabana, Luz del Oriente, Dos Hermanos, Nueva Santa Rosa del Marañón, Nueva Vida, Nuevo Milagro, Nuevo San Martín, Tierra Blanca, Paragua Poza, Nueva Paragua Poza, Puerto Libre, San Francisco , Santa Rosa, Nueva Unión and Vista Alegre.
It should be noted that PETROPERU financed the Standard Technical Sheets or Project Profiles to promote their execution, which amounts to an investment of 19 million soles.
With the formation of the Special Committee of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, an important milestone is marked for the beginning of the selection process of the Company or Consortium that will finally be in charge of the formulation of the technical files and the execution of the works.
It is important to remember that these projects are also prioritized within the Public Infrastructure Gap Closure Plan, recently approved by the Executive and led by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) in favor of the Loreto region.
In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to continue contributing to the development of the populations that are in the environment of its operations.
