PETROPERÚ welcomes the appointment of Eduardo Gonzáles Toro as Minister of Energy and Mines

PETROPERÚ welcomes the appointment of engineer Eduardo Gonzáles Toro as the new Minister of Energy and Mines since last October 8, in which he was sworn in before the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo.

González Toro has a vast professional career, having served as director of the company Promoción Desarrollo y Mercadeo S.A, and general manager of GT Technology, among others. In 2015, he was awarded in the XIII National Contest of Inventions, organized by the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) and the National Council of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (Concytec), for his invention "Hydraulic Energy Transformer", a project that uses hydraulic energy from the riverbanks to convert it into electricity, avoiding modifying its natural course.

The new head of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) has a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the National University of Engineering (UNI) and is characterized by knowing how to listen to all parties, plan and for his ability to make decisions strategically.

PETROPERÚ wishes for the success of his management in charge of this important sector for national development; while expressing its best disposition to work together in favor of the hydrocarbon and energy sector for the benefit of all Peruvians.
