PETROPERÚ urges the P&D consortium to fulfill its labor obligations
PETROPERÚ informed that it has asked the P&D Consortium to strictly comply with the obligations agreed with its personnel, contractors and subcontractors, which cannot be assumed by the state company, since it has no labor or contractual relationship with the personnel and suppliers that have participated in the execution of the New Multi-Buoy Terminal and Submarine Lines service at the Talara Refinery.
According to the information provided by the workers of the aforementioned contractor, the P&D consortium has not complied with the payment of salaries for the month of May and other benefits, for which they have been holding public protests in the city and claims before the Talara Zonal Office of the Regional Labor Directorate.
This morning, PETROPERÚ personnel met with Raúl Chanduví Sirlupú and José Peña Oviedo, representatives of the P&D Consortium workers, who arrived accompanied by the Subprefect of Talara, Leila Mogollón Cruz, to request the intervention of the state company.
At the meeting, they were informed that, on June 3, PETROPERÚ sent letter No. CPR-0050-2021 to the legal representative of the P&D Consortium, requesting her to comply with her labor obligations with her workers. Likewise, they were reiterated the full willingness of the state company to provide the information requested by the authority of the Talara Zonal Office to address the claim of unpaid workers and help, as far as possible, to find a solution to the situation raised.
The P&D Consortium was in charge of the New Multi-Buoy Terminal and Submarine Lines service at the Talara Refinery, a contract that was terminated by PETROPERÚ, due to the accumulation of the maximum penalty, applied due to delays in the contractual execution.
