PETROPERU trains transporters in road safety

The sixth session of the Central Committee of Transporters of PETROPERU was held, a monthly meeting aimed at the managers of land transport companies at a national level, which takes place for approximately 3 hours at the Company's headquarters in Lima.

The event was attended by Dr. Carlos Paredes Lanatta, Chairman of the Board of the state oil company, who welcomed and initiated the committee meeting; which is organized by the Corporate Management Supply Chain.

The Central Transport Committee aims to disseminate the good security practices applied by transport companies with current contracts with PETROPERU, as well as indicators of contractual compliance, compliance minutes, information notes and reinforce the commitment to achieve the objective of ZERO ACCIDENTS.

In this opportunity, the training was provided by the psychologist Ricardo Fabris, who is a member of the APA committee for Peru, with a master's degree in Neuroscience and a former Human Resources manager of transport company Neptunia, representative of the Logistics Training Center; entity that provides information for the accreditation of drivers in their soft skills and techniques.

It is worth mentioning that, in addition to these meetings, decentralized committees are held in Talara, Lima (Conchán Refinery) and Mollendo; as well as security stops nationwide, compromising the participation and awareness of all those involved in the safety of land transport.

As a result of these activities, as of June 7 of this year, the performance of ground transportation that is carried out both nationally and of transfer between plants and / or terminals of PETROPERU has been improved; as well as ground transportation to customers.

In this way, the Company maintains its commitment to safety in its land transport operations; through these activities of awareness, motivation and training; as well as aligning good practices in this matter between transport companies, drivers, plants and terminals of the state oil company. All this for the benefit of road safety in the country.
