As part of one of the agreements reached at the Dialogue Table in Ilo, made up of PETROPERÚ, officials from the municipal district and representatives of the city's civil society, the state-owned company today offered training to the Environmental Monitoring Committee, thus fulfilling one of the agreements reached in the last ordinary session held on August 4.

The company “Futuro Sostenible”, specialized in designing training and training processes for grassroots organizations and companies, was in charge of training the representatives of the Dialogue Table, for the formation of the participatory monitoring and surveillance committee.

During the training, the different applications and measures to be taken into account were analyzed, as well as the most common environmental indicators for each type of case study. The teaching methodology included the development of numerous practical exercises based on real studies and evaluation questionnaires of the syllabus, also providing all kinds of professional tools and cases of real examples of Environmental Surveillance Programs in the Country.

The training, totally free, is part of the company's interest in completing the project, even more so considering that the engineering stage has been 100% completed. In this way, the Social Management plan for the remainder of the year seeks to meet expectations for the benefit of the population of Ilo.

In this way, and with adequate training, PETROPERÚ is once again committed to providing contributions to citizen environmental surveillance, overseeing the monitoring of different parameters, both in Loma La Buitrera and in the sphere of influence of the state company, in a joint work with the authorities of the region, seeking to promote the reactivation of the local economy with the construction of the New Terminal Ilo- and coordinating public and transparent conferences through the Dialogue Table, whose next meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 2.

On the other hand, tomorrow, Thursday, representatives of the company and the Municipality of Ilo will hold a technical meeting that will address the expansion of the construction license of the New Ilo Terminal, which will operate in the south of the city, in the area known as Lomas La Buitrera and that will benefit not only Moquegua but the entire south of the country.
