PETROPERU trains facilitators of the Quality Schools Program

PETROPERU carried out a training workshop aimed at the faculty facilitators of the Quality Schools Program, within the framework of the presentation of its Social Management Plan in the area of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP) and the Talara Refinery.

The objective of this program is to improve teaching and learning in the areas of Communication and Mathematics, by training primary school teachers, so that Quality Schools are implemented.

Teachers' training will be implemented through training strategies such as workshops on pedagogical topics, accompaniment and advice in the classroom and inter-learning groups. This work is accompanied by the delivery of texts to teachers and workbooks to schoolchildren.

An important element in this program is the participation of parents, the community, local and educational authorities, through activities that involve them, such as workshops for parents, pedagogical fairs of integrity to the community and marathon of reading.

A measurement of the achievements of the Program will be given through the performance evaluation to teachers in Communication and Mathematics, as well as to the directors in pedagogical and institutional management.

The Quality Schools Program - developed by the Department of Education of the Universidad Privada Cayetano Heredia - is offered in compliance with the PETROPERU Social Management Plan, as part of its social responsibility activities and in response to the Company's commitment to education of children from towns neighboring its operations.
