PETROPERÚ takes immediate action after the appearance of bags with fat content in the Ilo Terminal

PETROPERÚ has proceeded to file a police complaint with the pertinent authorities of the port of Ilo, in Moquegua, reporting the presence of two bags, the content of which -apparently- would be a greasy substance, on the beach side, in front of the Ilo Fuel Terminal, owned by the state company.

Immediately, specialized personnel from PETROPERÚ proceeded to activate its contingency plan, simultaneously reporting the event to the headquarters of the South Plants and HSSE supervision of the company.

In parallel, immediate notice was given to the authorities of the area, such as the Harbor Master's Office and personnel from the Environmental Police, for the corresponding verification of the absence of any failure in the operating process of the plant.

After carrying out this procedure, within the framework of the corresponding protocol, the entire affected area was delimited and contained, ruling out any damage to the ecosystem and human or marine life.
