PETROPERÚ supports Water Week in Bagua, Jaén and Piura

PETROPERU, committed to the care of natural resources, joined the celebrations for the Water Week developed by the National Water Authority (ANA) in the jurisdictions of Bagua, Jaén and Piura, in order to summon the population to the All for Water campaign.

Through the Local Water Administrations (ALA) of Chinchipe, in Chamaya (Jaén); from Bagua, in Santiago (Bagua); and from the Middle and Lower Piura (Sechura), neighboring the facilities of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP), PETROPERU sponsored the campaign with materials for the participants of the various activities that each ALA organized.

In the ALA of the Middle and Lower Piura, under the motto "Water of one, water of all. Whoever you are, water is your right ", the 2019 Water Festival was organized, from March 10 to 22, which included a bike ride, awareness walk, a marathon and a painting contest, among other actions.

The activities in Jaén began with a cleanup day in the Jaén creek, as well as a parade. A Drawing and Painting Contest was also carried out in the educational institutions of the area to raise awareness among students to a new culture of water through artistic expression.

In Bagua, the activities were aimed at raising awareness among students in the care of water resources, through the Drawing and Painting Contest.

The objective of these decentralized activities is to sensitize the population about the care and valuation of water, as well as to promote the articulated work among the various actors related to the management of water resources.

This way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to the care and protection of the environment, within the framework of its social responsibility policies.
