PETROPERÚ supports vaccination marathon in native communities of Loreto

Committed to the health of the populations neighboring its operations, PETROPERÚ provided logistical support to the Regional Health Directorate - DIRESA of Loreto so that the first Vaccination against COVID-19 is carried out, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the native communities of Saramuro and Saramurillo, adjacent to Station 1 of the North Peruvian Pipeline - ONP.

DIRESA Loreto began this vaccination day on Tuesday 10 of this year, for a period of three days and plans to inoculate 3,500 inhabitants of the area, over 18 years of age, in order to protect them against the coronavirus.

The objective is to accelerate the vaccination process for vulnerable populations such as the communities of the Amazon, in this sense, it responded to the request of the local authorities and organized this first Vaccination Marathon in native communities.

Considering the great difficulties to enter the area, PETROPERÚ joined this day by providing logistical support, through river transport, food and accommodation for the health brigade in charge of vaccination.

As it is vitally important to immunize the entire population, PETROPERÚ will continue to carry out the pertinent coordination with DIRESA Loreto, to replicate these campaigns in the communities of the ONP's area of influence and schedule other vaccination days as soon as possible.
