PETROPERU supports the Promotion Group for Children
The Corporate Manager of Social Management and Communications, Beatriz Alva Hart, held an important meeting with Father Gastón Garatea, president of the Investment Promotion Group for Children. The meeting was attended by Gloria Helfer (former Minister of Education), Marisol Pérez Tello (former Minister of Justice) and Salvador Herencia, members of the aforementioned Group.
The Investment Promotion Group for Children is a citizen initiative aimed at creating awareness in public and private institutions and in civil society about the importance of investing in early childhood as a national priority and a key factor for the development of our country.
In the meeting, PETROPERU sponsored the IV National Encounter for Early Childhood, which will be held on May 30 and 31 at the Auditorium of the Company's headquarters in Lima. The meeting will involve authorities from the three levels of government, private companies, as well as representatives of civil society and international cooperation organizations in order to finalize agreements that contribute to prioritizing the implementation of public policies that guarantee the attention of early childhood in our country, with emphasis on the fight against childhood anemia.
In this regard, Alva Hart expressed the commitment of PETROPERU with this important initiative, about which she stated that priority will be given to the actions and projects that the company has been executing within the framework of its Institutional Social Management Policy and that can contribute to the effort that the Government has been deploying to provide quality services to our girls and boys under 5 years of age.
He said that, in that sense, meetings have already been held with the Provincial Municipality of Talara and the Regional Government of Piura, where he has been actively participating in the Committee formed by the Provincial Municipality to serve the early childhood of Talamanca.
For his part, the President of the Child Investment Promotion Group, Father Gastón Garatea, ratified the support of the members of his organization to coordinate efforts with the state company. He pointed out that the sponsorship of PETROPERÚ will allow the awareness actions of the authorities of the different levels of government to be continued, and it will also be the opportunity to share successful experiences that are being developed in various regions of the interior of the country.
