PETROPERU supports the fight against chronic malnutrition and childhood anemia
PETROPERU is developing a training program aimed at more than a hundred community agents and health operators in various localities in rural areas of direct influence of the Company, with the objective of reducing chronic malnutrition and childhood anemia, this time in the province of Datem del Marañon.
The participants received backpacks with materials and games that will allow them to raise awareness in their respective communities about the need to improve nutrition and consumption habits in the communities and localities of this province of Loreto. This is through the application of the dynamics "Feeding my child well", "I ensure that my child grows healthy and happy", "Good practices for healthy and intelligent children", "Children who learn by playing with love" and "Caring for the pregnant woman and the newborn baby". This program is carried out with the collaboration of the Red Innova Association, an organization oriented to social development.
Previously, the health specialists in charge of implementing the program were trained to facilitate their relationship with health promoters, improving their communication skills and providing them with an intercultural approach.
These activities will be carried out until July and reaffirm the commitment of PETROPERU with raising the quality of life of the populations and communities neighboring its facilities; likewise, they demonstrate the fulfillment of the commitments assumed for the benefit of the community.
