PETROPERÚ supports the education sector through a reinforcement program

The educational program "Educating today for tomorrow's work" of PETROPERÚ has been generating a positive response from teachers and students of schools in Ilo (Moquegua), Ninacaca (Pasco), Pariñas (Talara) and Villa El Salvador (Lima), areas of influence of the state company.

Enrollment opened a few weeks ago, with the enrollment of nearly 600 schoolchildren from educational institutions located in those towns. Graduates of the Senati Scholarship 2019, a program managed by PETROPERÚ, have also been enthusiastically welcomed, who will be trained as mentors for schoolchildren.

Simultaneously, more than 50 teachers have signed up and, in this way, join this initiative developed in partnership with the Marcelino Champagnat University and The Learning Factor, an agency focused on the strategic design of learning for change.

The objective of the "Educating today for tomorrow's work" program is to increase the potential and capacity for labor insertion or job creation in students in the final years of secondary school, through the development and strengthening of skills and competencies that allow access to the increasingly competitive labor market.

In the case of teachers, the initiative is aimed at teachers of Science and Technology courses, Education for Work and tutors of the aforementioned degrees.

It should be noted that the schools selected for this program are Augusto Salazar Bondy, in Ninacaca; Mercedes Cabello Carbonera, in Ilo; Max Uhle, Las Palmeras and the Peruano Canadiense, in Villa El Salvador and Ignacio Merino, La Inmaculada and Domingo Savio, in Talara.
