PETROPERU supports families in extreme poverty in Villa el Salvador with food baskets

Continuing its work of supporting vulnerable populations, PETROPERU delivered more than 700 baskets with basic necessities, benefiting hundreds of families in the so-called beach area and metropolitan park of the Villa El Salvador district, south of Lima.

The delivery, which is in addition to the efforts made by the government to deal with COVID-19, was made through coordinated work with the municipality of that district, thus offering assistance to those who live in the area neighboring the Conchán Refinery.

In total there were 760 baskets, each containing two kilos of rice, one kilo of sugar, beans, tuna, oil, noodles, among other essential products; as well as disinfection products, such as bleach and soap.

This important delivery, which had the support of members of the Armed Forces and the National Police, adds to the aid to combat the coronavirus, benefiting families made up of children and the elderly, since they are the ones most prone to contract COVID-19.

Once again, PETROPEU reaffirms its commitment to vulnerable populations, providing support to the local community in this stage of national emergency.
