PETROPERU successfully resumes virtual training for residents of VES

PETROPERU resumed -in a virtual way- its Technical Training Program, with the reactivation of the Gastronomy, Cosmetology and Graphic Design courses, seeking to benefit hundreds of residents located around the Conchán Refinery.

This totally free program aims to improve the quality of life of the population by strengthening their capacities, which will allow them, in the near future, to successfully enter the labor market; thus increasing their income.

The state-owned company, in its desire to develop and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit of the communities surrounding its operations, has chosen to use this digital teaching format, taking into account the current situation, thus respecting social distancing to prevent contagion by COVID-19.

Participants in this training program, which began in person in February but which had to be suspended as a result of the pandemic, will have virtual classes for a period of four months, which will include theoretical and practical classes so that, at the end, they can work as professionals in gastronomy, cosmetology or graphic design.

It should be noted that this work undertaken by PETROPERU has the support of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, the District Municipality of Villa El Salvador and the San Ignacio de Monterrico Institute (SIDEM) and that in a second phase contemplates activating two more courses: Pastry and Textile Preparation.
