The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperú, Alejandro Narváez Liceras, reiterated the urgent measures that are being implemented to reverse the financial situation of the company, with a view to reducing the losses estimated by the previous administration for 2024 and projecting sustainable profits for 2025.

Among the key actions, he pointed out the implementation of an aggressive commercial strategy to close 2024 with a market share of 28% and reach 38% in 2025. “Petroperú does not seek to monopolize, but to compete in a transparent manner, offering quality products at competitive prices,” he said during his presentation at the VII National Congress of Gas Stations and Service Stations.

Narvaéz Liceras pointed out that the positive projections and renewed leadership seek to consolidate Petroperú as a key player in the country's energy development, guaranteeing its sustainability and contributing to the well-being of Peruvians. “Although the company is going through a critical situation, the result of poor management, it is not insurmountable. In the two weeks that we have been at the head of the company, we have done what we had to do to stop the brutal decline in terms of business," he said.

He also highlighted the progress in the stabilization process of the New Talara Refinery, which according to the latest reports is processing 90 thousand barrels of oil per day, guaranteeing the supply of high-quality fuels such as gasoline, diesel, LPG and aviation fuels. "Peru has one of the best refineries in the world in terms of technology and modernity," he said.

He also indicated that Petroperú also has a solid network of 720 service stations and 18 sales plants to guarantee the supply of quality fuels throughout the country, which is a great competitive advantage that allows it to reach all corners of the national territory, offering a better experience to customers, who, in addition to quality and price, value good service.

In a conversation with the press, prior to his presentation to the owners of gas stations and service stations, he highlighted his appointment by the General Shareholders' Meeting, based on his professional career and previous experience in the company. Along these lines, he ruled out any type of interference in his appointment and reiterated that he will continue to lead the company with transparency and commitment.
