Petroperú has been implementing its Program to Strengthen Territorial Governance and Promote Leadership Capabilities, in the town of Saramiriza, Datem del Marañón province, Loreto region, which seeks to develop and improve the conditions of coexistence and social well-being of the communities of the Manseriche district.
In the initial module, out of a total of six, an ambitious plan was developed that includes the concept of good living and collective rights, for which participatory methodologies and group dynamics were used.
It also seeks to provide theoretical and practical tools, from an intercultural perspective, seeking to strengthen organizational capacities for territorial governance. At the same time, operational, leadership and management capacities in the communities will be strengthened, for the consolidation of their administrative processes.
In these sessions, which have the financial support of the Training Resources Administration Committee (CAREC), representatives of the communities and federations emphasize the need to coordinate with the competent sectors the execution and advancement of health, education, agriculture, livestock and infrastructure, to improve the living conditions of the communities adjacent to the North Peruvian Pipeline.
All of this within the framework of the inter-institutional cooperation agreement signed with the Awajún Native Federation of the Apaga River (FENARA) and the Organization of the Indigenous and Native Peoples of Alto Marañón (ORPICAM).
In this way, Petroperú strengthens its ties with the communities adjacent to its operations, recognizing and valuing their cultural diversity and customs, through development initiatives with the competent entities seeking to contribute to the improvement of life and well-being of the local population.
