PETROPERÚ strengthens family relationships through free talks
The Office of Information and Citizen Participation (OIPC) of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT) developed a series of free informative talks, corresponding to the “Families in Action” program, contributing to the strengthening of intra-family relations of the Talara population.
Thanks to this initiative, a hundred of Talareans received information related to the eradication of violence in the home, prevention of child violence, parenting and shared roles, among others. Simultaneously, more than 6,500 people viewed the talks through the OIPC Informa Facebook page.
The conference was led by expert personnel, mostly psychologists, who also answered the doubts of the participants.
“In Talara, 382 cases of violence against women were reported in 2020, according to the Women's Emergency Center. Knowing these statistics motivated us to plan and develop the Familias en Acción program and thus contribute valuable information for the population vulnerable to this reality, ”said Romina Meza, Communications Coordinator for the OIPC.
Since the beginning of the State of Health Emergency due to the coronavirus, the OIPC strengthened its services to the community and deployed a series of training programs to provide quality information to the population on topics such as civics, care of the environment, health and, where appropriate particular of Familias en Acción, knowledge for the prevention and eradication of family violence.
Recently, the OIPC has presented a new training initiative called “From Home”, which seeks to share information that is useful for application within the home. To find out about the following training dates, those interested can follow the OIPC Informa Facebook page or visit the website www.oipc.com.pe.
