PETROPERU started paving one of the main roads of Ilo
- Works consider laying the asphalt cover, removing sidewalk barriers and signage.
Avenue Mariano Lino Urquieta, in the center of the city of Ilo, will soon be renovated, with the repair that PETROPERÚ and the Provincial Municipality of Ilo have undertaken, an action that is part of one of the commitments made in the Dialogue Table that takes place every month in said port, where the oil company participates actively.
The remodeling includes the placement of the asphalt layer, the demolition of sidewalk barriers and the signage along such an important road, in the section between Jr. Guatemala and Av. Mariscal Cáceres.
The contractor company Consorcio Inmaculada Concepción will be in charge of the development of the work which will last approximately two months.
It should be noted that the personnel in charge of this work is, in its majority, from the city of Ilo and has received intensive training related to workplace health and safety regulations, as well as recommendations and personal protection equipment.
This work is part of the commitments made by PETROPERU, within the framework of the construction of the New Ilo Terminal. Other works carried out are the roofing of the sports slab of the Mercedes Cabello School in Carbonera, the purchase of video surveillance cameras and the delivery of books to local libraries, among others. All this is part of the company's social responsibility policy.
