PETROPERU signs understanding memorandum with YPF of Argentina

Today, December 20, 2019, Carlos Barrientos Gonzales, General Manager of PETROPERU, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Daniel González, CEO of the state's Fiscal Oilfields (YPF) of Argentina. The signing took place at the headquarters of YPF, in Buenos Aires.

The objective is to facilitate the shared knowledge of good practices and lessons learned, as well as provide reciprocal technical assistance for the development of joint activities, by promoting the exchange of professionals. The agreement will last for three years, renewable.

This agreement is part of the work plan of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT), which prioritizes specialized training of highly qualified human resources to ensure success in the implementation of the new auxiliary process and service units that are coming installing within the framework of this mega project.

For its part, YPF is one of the largest companies in Argentina, vertically integrated and has undergone modernization processes - technological and management - similar to those that PETROPERU has been developing. This agreement will allow sharing mutually beneficial experiences.

In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to the excellence of its operations, as well as to the innovation of its processes thanks to the introduction of new technology and knowledge in the country, thanks to the PMRT.
