PETROPERU shares the christmas spirit with the neighbors of Ilo

Hundreds of children received toys in an intense day organized by PETROPERU, as the final event of the Christmas activities in the Port of Ilo, where members of the Artisanal Fishermen's Union and the Association of Women Leaders of Peru also participated. The traditional “chocolatada” set the festive frame of this activity.

The mayor of Ilo, Gerardo Carpio Diaz, thanked the permanent support of the state oil company, which, he said, translates not only in the delivery of food, but also in the implementation of the school libraries of the main schools of the port, as well as in itinerant exhibitions of cultural exhibits.

During the day, organized by the Social Development sub-department of PETROPERU, members of the Disabled Persons Association, the Milk Glass Program of the Provincial Municipality of Ilo and the Senior Adult Club José Carlos Mariátegui also participated.

The activity marked the end of the Christmas festivities in that city, where the XVI Christmas Lights Festival in Ilo was brought to and end. As can be remembered, PETROPERU was the main sponsor of these activities when illuminating the San Jerónimo Church, the portals and the atrium located in the center of the city.

With these contributions to various publics, the state oil company strengthens its commitment and identification with the province of Ilo, thus strengthening its social responsibility policy.
