PETROPERU seeks the development of native communities through public management
PETROPERU and Authorities of the Municipality of Imaza, one of the six districts of the Province of Bagua, Amazonas, held a virtual meeting, in which the state oil company ratified the commitment to join efforts to strengthen municipal management through development of capacities of civil servants and public servants in matters related to strategic planning, results-based management, public investment, institutional organization and government contracting.
The conference, which was attended by the Manager of the Social Development Department of PETROPERU, Tomás Flores Noriega and the Mayor of Imaza, Alejandro Mikayu Yagkuag, had a single objective: to strengthen municipal management through the development of capacities of public officials, of the localities located in the sphere of influence of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP).
This meeting is part of the coordination between both institutions in pursuit of the implementation, in the coming weeks, of the Comprehensive Program in Public Management, focused on managing - efficiently and effectively - public resources to produce the goods and services that citizens need. This forces the servers to permanent training to generate public value.
Days like this are part of the actions that PETROPERU will carry out in the following months, within the framework of its Social Management Plan that seeks to promote a better quality of life in the populations and communities neighboring its operations, thus ratifying its commitment to contribute to the development of the same, addressing the closing of social gaps and strengthening their presence throughout the ONP.
