PETROPERU's Comprehensive Public Management Program continues
As part of its Social Management Plan, PETROPERU has an articulating role between the authorities and native communities adjacent to the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP) and the different sectors of the State in order to facilitate the rapprochement between both actors, in order to meet the demands of indigenous peoples within the framework of the plan to close social gaps in the Amazon.
At the same time, the state oil company provides training programs in public management to the municipal authorities of the localities neighboring the ONP in order to create, develop and - eventually - strengthen their capacities for the design, execution and management of works that generate progress and improve the quality of life in this vast region of the country.
Along these lines, PETROPERU and the Center for Consulting and Integrated Services of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (INNOVAPUCP), began the second module of the Comprehensive Program in Public Management in the Loreto region, seeking to develop a comprehensive technical assistance service and strengthen the capacities of the public servants of the local governments of the Amazon, which are in the area of influence of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP).
In this second module, about a hundred officials from the provincial municipalities of Condorcanqui and Dátem del Marañón, as well as from the districts of Imaza, Manseriche and Urarinas will participate.
On this occasion, it seeks to reinforce knowledge in indicator management and the territorial planning process, among other issues, focusing on the development of directly applicable competencies that have an impact on the benefit of their localities.
The Comprehensive Program in Public Management is part of the actions that PETROPERU carries out as part of the High Impact Strategy for the Social Management of the North Peruvian Pipeline, in favor of strengthening provincial and district governance in the Peruvian Amazon.
