PETROPERÚ's 2021 Copé Award will be in the novel and poetry categories

Until next August 27, unpublished works may be presented to participate in the XX Biennial of Poetry and VIII Biennial of Novel of the 2021 Copé Award, the most important award for literary creation in the country, organized and promoted by PETROPERÚ for 42 years.

For the second consecutive year, the reception of the participating works is carried out through the platform implemented for this contest that encourages literary creation in our country and the promotion of Peruvian writers.

All Peruvians of legal age residing in Peru or outside the country, as well as foreign nationals nationalized or resident in the country -except the winners of the Gold Copé Award from the previous biennials- may participate, provided that the works are written in Spanish and are sent in this language. Likewise, only works that have not been presented before to another national or international award or competition whose ruling is pending will participate.

The jury, in both categories, will be made up of representatives of the Peruvian Academy of Language, the Ministry of Culture, the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and PETROPERÚ. The ruling will be final and will be announced from the third week of November 2021.
