PETROPERÚ rules out variation in cost of Talara Refinery Modernization Project

Given the information that has been disseminated in some media, PETROPERÚ specifies the following:

1. The total investment amount of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project remains at USD 5,538.52 MM (without pre-operational interest), as timely reported as an important fact to the Superintendency of the Securities Market on August 11, 2023 and through the PETROPERÚ institutional portal.
2. This amount was approved through Board Agreement No. 095-2023-PP, based on the technical report presented by Talara Refinery Corporate Management. Likewise, the Board of Directors of the company approved in the same session the corresponding modification of the 2023 Investment Budget.
3. PETROPERÚ reiterates its commitment to transparency, in addition to guaranteeing the safe operation of all its operations, including the New Talara Refinery, a modern refining complex that has been producing the highest quality fuels to supply the national market.
