PETROPERÚ requested the Comptroller's Office to appoint Price Waterhouse Coopers as auditing company

After the Merit Tender for the appointment of an auditing company for the review of its 2021 Financial Statements was declared void, and in accordance with current legal regulations, PETROPERÚ requested the Comptroller General of the Republic the appointment of the auditing firm Price Waterhouse Coopers in order to comply with a fundamental obligation for any company listed on the Lima Stock Exchange - BVL.

In this framework, PETROPERÚ and the aforementioned auditing company have held a first coordination meeting in which the substantive issues for the contractual relationship that would materialize in the coming days, after the corresponding authorizations, in accordance with their procedures, have been discussed.

It should be remembered that the members of the Board of Directors of the state company, headed by its president, Humberto Campodónico, with the comptroller Nelson Shack and officials of the aforementioned State supervisory entity, held a meeting to report on the actions that are being carried out in order to address the Company's situation and recover the confidence of the markets.

Among the additional short-term measures that the Administration has been implementing is the start of the safe, gradual and progressive start-up of the New Talara Refinery and reinforcing the Corporate Governance standards in PETROPERÚ.
