PETROPERÚ reports on the variation of fuel prices in the country
In the current context, marked by the increase in the price of petroleum-derived fuels at the international level and the rise in the price of the dollar, PETROPERÚ continues to offer the most competitive prices in the service stations affiliated to its network and, through PETROPERÚ Fleet, a product aimed at the transport sector and vehicle fleets, which offers even better prices and benefits for the direct purchase of its fuels.
In the period from March 8 to 19, 2021, the international prices of petroleum-derived fuels have continued to rise, which has generated a variation in the local sale prices of fuels, same as the average change in the dollar, which this week had an increase that is also reflected in the list price of fuels in the country. Both factors are out of PETROPERÚ's control.
The rise in oil and fuel prices in the world occurs due to the start of vaccination against Covid-19 and the economic reactivation of developed countries. While the exchange rate influences because companies import fuels in dollars and sell them in soles, which is why this differential is incorporated into the price in national currency.
In this sense, PETROPERÚ's gasoline and diesel have had an adjustment of 0.11 soles/gallon. The Company's new list prices for Gasohol 90 and Diesel B5 S50 will be 8.60 and 8.84 soles/gallon (without taxes).
In the case of LPG, the list prices in Callao and Talara increase by 0.01 soles/kilo, basically due to the variation in the currency exchange rate.
