PETROPERÚ reports on the threat of a fire at the Talara Refinery

PETROPERÚ addresses the public opinion to report the following:

At 2:30pm today, Monday, October 11, 2021, a fire threat arose in the area of “Casa de Bombas 5” of the Talara Refinery, which was quickly controlled by the in-house firefighting and operational personnel.

After reporting the incident, the Talara Refinery Emergency Response Plan was immediately activated, proceeding with the preventive evacuation of contractor personnel who were working in the area.

No personal injury or property damage has been recorded. For their part, the contractor personnel proceeded to return to their workplaces once the event was controlled.

Meanwhile, the official report and alert of the incident of the situation, described above, is being developed before the competent authorities.
