Petroperú reports on the case of a worker from the Logistics department

Regarding the news broadcasted by the Willax TV program Contracorriente, related to the worker Úrsula Maribel Motta Mezarina, Petroperú reports the following:

1. By virtue of the Transparency Policy and in order to carry out the pertinent investigations, the assignment of the worker to the Logistics Department Management of the company will be concluded, providing for the review of the hiring processes, through of an Investigative Commission, with the purpose of carrying out the corresponding preventive, corrective and legal actions.
2. With regard to the contracts for goods, services and works carried out by Petroperú, it should be specified that the requirements originating from said contracts are prepared by the different areas of the company and not by the Logistics Department, these dependencies being responsible for planning, classify, determine and formulate the requirements in accordance with the corporate purpose and institutional objectives of the company.
3. Similarly, the budget formulation, as well as the list of requirements that are included in the Annual Procurement Plan, is carried out by the originating agencies and not by the Logistics Department, based on their operational needs. It should be noted that, in the contracting process, the technical evaluation of the suppliers is carried out by the specialized technical areas of the contracting of the good, service or work.
4. Likewise, the managers of the Logistics department do not participate in the Selection Committees, public tenders, contests, among others, in order to avoid conflicts of interest.
5. Regarding the complaints filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office against Motta Mezarina, it is necessary to indicate that there are processes previously filed and others with an acquittal in favor of the aforementioned worker; and regarding those that are in the course of a tax investigation, Petroperú will abide by the provisions issued by the competent jurisdictional bodies in a timely manner.
