PETROPERÚ reports on incident recorded at the New Talara Refinery

Petroperú addresses the public opinion to report the following:

On the morning of Friday, July 21, an isolated incident was recorded in the Primary Distillation Unit (DP1), inside the facilities of the New Talara Refinery (NRT).

While performing corrective work on a flow instrument, the maintenance technician, Daniel Arturo Lezama Guanilo, suffered a splash of product on his lower right leg.

After the fact was reported, the emergency response plan was immediately activated, proceeding to provide medical care by specialized personnel, prior to their transfer to a clinic in the city of Piura for their corresponding care.

The worker is already in home recovery, participating in recurrent medical checks, after being discharged the next day. According to the medical report, Lezama Guanilo is progressing favorably.

It is important to mention that the events that have occurred have been reported to the competent bodies within the corresponding deadlines.
