Petroperú reports clandestine connection in the North Peruvian Oil Pipeline
Petroperú reported a clandestine connection carried out at kilometer 705+968 of Section II of the North Peruvian Oil Pipeline (ONP), located in the district of Olmos, province and region of Lambayeque, which caused a crude oil leak. As a first measure, the Company executed its contingency plan and mobilized personnel to the site.
Likewise, communications were sent to the competent entities, such as the Environmental Assessment and Oversight Agency (OEFA) and the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (OSINERGMIN).
In light of these regrettable events, Petroperú requests the support of the corresponding authorities to safeguard the ONP and avoid these contingencies generated by third parties that threaten the integrity of this Critical National Asset.
