PETROPERÚ reinforces its commitment to education in Talara
Within the framework of its Social Management Policy, PETROPERÚ continues to coordinate with the Local Educational Management Unit -Talara the execution of important projects in order to strengthen the services of the education sector in the district of Pariñas, province of Talara.
After a meeting with the director of UGEL Talara, Giovanna Panta Panta, the Manager of the Western Social Management Department of the state company, Tomás Flores Noriega explained that he has already started the program "Educating Today for Tomorrow's Work", which seeks contribute to the improvement of the skills of 4th grade students. and 5th. high school, enhancing -in the future- their ability to insert into the labor market.
The official clarified that this program is executed in partnership with the Marcelino Champagnat University (UMCH) and where the Domingo Savio, Ignacio Merino and La Inmaculada schools participate, benefiting a total of 837 students and 24 teachers. Likewise, the participation of the 110 beneficiaries who graduated from the Senati Scholarship provided by the state company in the province of Talara has been considered.
“Through this program, the beneficiaries will be accredited by the UMCH, with which it is expected to strengthen the skills and competencies of the students for the good start of their professional career. In addition, the certification of teachers is sought, contributing to their development in the public teaching career”, said the official.
In turn, the director of UGEL Talara highlighted the efforts that her sector has been developing in alliance with PETROPERÚ with multiple actions and projects that are carried out for the benefit of students and teachers, taking into account the current situation, in which they must ensure the necessary conditions so that students can access the right to education during the pandemic.
It should be noted that PETROPERÚ has also been carrying out various steps to implement two other programs in Talara, one of them aimed at optimizing school leveling for 220 3rd grade students. to 5th. year of high school, reinforcing skills and competencies in the areas of mathematics and communications.
