PETROPERÚ rehabilitates public spaces in amazon community
PETROPERÚ, committed to working together with the populations surrounding its operations, carried out a series of actions that made it possible to improve accessibility and safety on the streets of the Santa Rosa native community, in the Manseriche district, in the Datem del Marañón province, Loreto region.
The works carried out on public roads, carried out in compliance with the Collaboration Agreement signed between the state company and said community, which is one of those that adjoins Section II of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP), near Station 5, included the habilitation of two main streets in the sector, covering an area of 500 meters.
In accordance with the technique used to prepare streets in the area, geogrids, geotextiles and resistant materials were placed at the base and crowning of said streets, thus favoring a better adherence between the base layer and the top layer, allowing adequate compaction. and, therefore, a high resistance to traction, given the vehicular traffic in the area and the permanent rains that occur in the area.
In this way, PETROPERÚ has been making a reality, through its Social Management policy, the execution of various projects for the benefit of native communities located in the ONP's area of influence.
It is important to remember that PETROPERU has also been managing sanitation projects, which are prioritized within the Public Infrastructure Gap Closure Plan, in favor of the Loreto region (Morona River Basin), which reaffirm the commitment of the state company to continue contributing to the development of the populations that are in the environment of its operations.
