PETROPERÚ regrets accident that occurred in the Huallaga river

PETROPERÚ regrets the accident that occurred in the early hours of today on the Huallaga River, due to the collision of the smaller vessel "Ayachi" with the convoy made up of the Nauta river tug and the Urubamba River barge, which is in charge of the river transport company Consorcio Henry.

PETROPERÚ has been coordinating with the contractor to provide immediate support to the families of the accident victims and to continue collaborating with the investigations carried out by the corresponding authorities.

The Peruvian Navy, through the Yurimaguas Harbor Master's Office, has indicated that the smaller vessel "Ayachi", which was carrying 80 passengers, collided with the Nauta river tug, causing the capsize and shipwreck of the passengers.

It is important to point out that upon taking notice of what happened, the convoy crew proceeded to collaborate with the personnel of the Harbor Master's Office in the search and rescue of the missing persons. PETROPERÚ expresses its heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims and regrets this tragic accident.
