PETROPERÚ recovers Station 5 of the North Peruvian Pipeline
PETROPERÚ recovered the facilities of Station 5 of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP), in Manseriche, province of Datem del Marañón, Loreto, after the peaceful departure of the residents of the surrounding communities who for 74 days seized the industrial installation for pumping crude oil, as a measure of protest to demand from the State the solution to a series of social demands.
As the occupants reported in the previous days, removing the force measure was achieved after the dialogue actions undertaken with the Executive and PETROPERÚ, which are aimed at meeting the demands of the residents. In this regard, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers has announced a working table that will be installed on January 15, 2022.
In the coming hours, personnel from PETROPERÚ and its contractors, who for safety reasons had been evacuated after the seizure of last October 4, will gradually return to these industrial facilities to carry out an assessment of the current state, to later restart pumping and pumping operations. safe transport of hydrocarbons, in strict compliance with the security protocols, contemplated in the PETROPERÚ COVID-19 Surveillance, Prevention and Control Plan.
PETROPERÚ reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development of the communities in the ONP's area of influence, through actions that contribute to improving their quality of life, in coordination with the Executive authorities.
