PETROPERÚ reaffirms its commitment to ensure fuel supply at the national level
The General Manager of PETROPERU, Carlos Barrientos Gonzales, participated in the “2019 Automotive Encounter”, organized by the Automotive Association of Peru under the auspices of the state oil company. On the day, the official presented a paper on the work carried out by the Company, emphasizing the guarantee of fuel supply at the national level, Corporate Governance, the products and services provided by the Company, and the progress in construction of the new Talara Refinery.
Explaining the network of refineries, plants and supply terminals that PETROPERU has to cover the national territory, the official stressed the commitment of the Company to ensure the supply of fuel throughout the country, including regions where private companies do not arrive.
"Our duty is to provide quality hydrocarbons, carrying out our activities with reliability, financial sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility," Barrientos Gonzales said before a large auditorium, meeting in a capital hotel, in which he also said that the return to the “upstream” is another of the objectives that the Company intends to achieve.
On the construction of the new Talara Refinery, the official announced that this process has an integral progress of more than 81% and, according to the approved schedule, will begin its gradual start-up process in the first quarter of 2021.
