PETROPERU ratifies its commitments to the ilo population

With the presence of representatives of the municipality of Ilo, civil society and officials of PETROPERU, a new session of the Dialogue Table was held, where it was specified that the state oil company is complying with all the commitments assumed in this Province.

During the event, representing the state company, the deputy manager of Social Development, Tomás Flores Noriega, informed that PETROPERU has already completed the topographic studies for the asphalting of Calle Argentina, as well as the file to build an adjoining wall of the San Luis school, which is next to the current sales plant, in charge of Consorcio Terminales.

Flores also clarified that PETROPERU is waiting for the expert opinion to which the oil company and the contractor Felguera have submitted, which is in charge of the construction of the new Ilo terminal. The official explained that "the project is not paralyzed and that once the aforementioned expertise is available, it will be informed if there are variations to the execution schedule of the work, for the time being the project continues.

Also, the Dialogue Table agreed to make a visit to the work, located in the so-called Lomas La Buitrera. The visit is scheduled for July 17 next.

Representatives from the Ilo Interest Defense Front (FEDIPI) participated in the session; of the San Luis school, the Fishermen's Association, the Ilo Health Network, the Educational Management Unit and the Artisanal Fishermen's Union of that port.

The Dialogue Table works as a channel of relationship with local civil society regarding the construction of the New Terminal Ilo, a plant that will meet the current demand for liquid fuels in an area of influence that will encompass the Moquegua and Tacna regions. In this framework, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to the progress of Ilo.
