PETROPERÚ puts into operation a modern automated dispatch system at the Conchán Sales Plant
PETROPERU completed and put into operation a modern dispatch system in its Conchán Sales Plant, located at kilometer 23 of the Panamericana Sur highway, the same one that dispatches 35 thousand barrels of fuel per day, fulfilling a strategic role in the corporate management of the company.
This system allows automation through self-service in the dispatch islands, recording in real time all transactions and movements related to dispatch, billing and inventory control of the Plant; sustainably reducing the service time of tanker trucks by approximately 20% (from 1.5 to 1.2 hours per truck), managing to serve up to 240 units per day. This improvement is equivalent to a total of 66 hours of reduction in attention time per day, with an estimated saving of 2.5 million soles per year.
The project included the installation of instrumentation systems (balances, flow meters, temperature, video cameras and security systems) and an information management system, all monitored and stored in a modern Control Room.
The commissioning of this system is part of a process of modernization of the Plants and Terminals of PETROPERÚ, which contributes to maintaining its leadership in innovation, customer service and safety for the benefit of all Peruvians; as well as fulfilling its role of guaranteeing the supply of fuels to the entire country.
