PETROPERU provides to ESSALUD a new modular hospital that will serve the population of Talara
In compliance with its social commitment to Talara, PETROPERU transferred today ownership of the new Talara Modular Hospital to ESSALUD, fully equipped, for its upcoming commissioning at the service of the community, strengthening the universal care of COVID-19 patients in the province oil company.
The event was attended by the Manager of the Piura Assistance Network of ESSALUD, José Céspedes Medrano, the Director of the Talara Hospital II, Ricardo Zúñiga Vallejos, together with the Manager of the Western Social Management Department of PETROPERU, Tomás Flores Noriega, as well as the legal representative of the SATEC-IRPMC LATAM SAC Consortium, Alberto Zamora, among others.
In the days prior to the signing of the handover certificate, specialized ESSALUD personnel, in coordination with PETROPERU, carried out tests on the medical equipment that will be part of this new medical establishment that has 30 hospital beds and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 15 ICU beds, fully equipped for the care of insured and uninsured patients requiring artificial ventilation and critical care.
The Talara Modular Hospital donated by PETROPERU has been built in an area of 558 square meters of land of the ESSALUD Support II Hospital. It has state-of-the-art air conditioning equipment and its useful life is estimated at 15 years, so after the pandemic is over it will serve to implement services of different medical specialties, in favor of the population of the oil province.
The operation and maintenance of the medical establishment will be in charge of ESSALUD, an institution that, after receiving this important donation from the state company, assumes the provision of professional and technical staff, as well as supplies and medicines for the treatment of COVID-19, guaranteeing its optimal functioning.
It is important to specify that the Talara Modular Hospital was built with a total investment of S/. 8'661,294.78 and its execution was in charge of the SATEC-IRPM LATAM SAC Consortium, after last July the award was awarded in a contracting process subject to the rules of the state company and current legislation. Throughout the construction process, the quality supervision of the implementation and equipment has been carried out, by the external supervisor, Consorcio CPT and ESSALUD as the company receiving the donation.
