Petroperú promotes the development of Talara by training schoolchildren

Petroperú held the closing ceremony and presented certificates for technical courses to 250 outstanding fourth- and fifth-grade students from public secondary schools in the districts of Pariñas, La Brea, Lobitos, and El Alto, in the province of Talara. This program was carried out at the National Industrial Work Training Service (SENATI).
The ceremony was attended by representatives from Petroperú and SENATI, as well as the young people's parents, who welcomed this type of initiative that contributes to the personal development and future job placement of the participants.
It should be noted that the students began their training in December 2024 and received training in digital graphic design, electronics and electricity, digital marketing, maintenance and technical support, or universal welding, depending on their choice at the beginning of the program.
Petroperú's support consisted of a comprehensive scholarship that included educational materials, personal protective equipment when required, and travel expenses for all classes.
In this way, the state-owned company reinforces its commitment to the population of the Talara Refinery's area of influence and the temporary operation of oil fields I, VI, and Z-69, within the framework of its Talara Community Relations Plan.
