PETROPERU promotes sports in Villa El Salvador

For the third year in a row, the Petroperu 2019 Academy was inaugurated in Villa El Salvador, which offers soccer and volleyball workshops to 100 children aged 7 to 12 years old from the human settlements near the Conchán Refinery, located south of Lima.

The Petroperu Academy seeks to promote values such as respect, solidarity, companionship, responsibility and perseverance through sport; those that allow to form better citizens. He has also contributed to the recovery of public spaces in the area and optimize their care.

From this year, the Academy will incorporate parents, who will collaborate in the cleaning of sports slabs, in the installation of markers and nets, among other implements necessary for sports practice.

It should be noted that, since 2018, children with sports potential have been linked with clubs and leagues for possible inclusion in their national teams.

In this way, PETROPERU, as part of its Social Management Plan -and through the promotion of sports-, strengthens ties with neighboring populations to its operations, contributing to the recreation and training of the youngest.
