Seeking to promote reading and foster knowledge about science, the country's history and literature, Petroperú delivered more than 600 books from Ediciones Copé to four public educational institutions and four municipal libraries in the districts of Pariñas, La Brea, El Alto and Los Órganos, in Talara.

Among the copies delivered are works by César Vallejo, Jorge Valenzuela Garcés and Octavio Santa Cruz. There are also valuable titles such as La Historia del Perú Antiguo, El Cuento Peruano and works that won the Copé Award in recent years.

At the same time, the winning stories of the “I Short Story Contest for Early Childhood “Te cuido+ Te respeto+ Te amo” were distributed, organized by the state oil company, as part of the Early Childhood Development Program. This contest was open to mothers, fathers and caregivers of children of infant age in the province of Talara.

In this way, over the last six years, the state oil company has delivered more than 3,500 Ediciones Copé titles, to the delight of more than 11,000 students in the area.

Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to continue providing access to Ediciones Copé publications in different educational institutions and public libraries in the country in line with its Cultural Policy and commitments to the promotion and encouragement of culture and art.
