PETROPERÚ promotes musical bands in schools in Villa El Salvador
In order to promote musical training in students, PETROPERÚ launched the "School Bands Program", which on this occasion will benefit 50 high school students from the educational institutions Elías Aguirre, Max Uhle, Jesús de Nazareth, Las Palmeras and Peruano Canadiense from Villa El Salvador; close to the Conchán Refinery.
For six months, the students -previously selected after an evaluation of musical knowledge-, will receive classes with specialized teachers in their schools and, in addition, they will be able to continue practicing at home thanks to the loan of the instruments that will be assigned to them in a personalized way during all of their training.
It should be remembered that, in 2018, PETROPERÚ started the "School Bands Program" to encourage art and music among students as a means for their comprehensive development, promoting values with healthy entertainment activities that, in turn, develop their skills. soft and improve their abilities.
Thanks to these cultural initiatives, students are motivated to develop their musical hobbies and even pursue a higher career, as has been the case of former program member Carlos Ureta, who now studies at the José María Arguedas National Higher School of Folklore.
These programs are part of PETROPERÚ's Social Management Policy, which seeks to contribute to the promotion of culture, improve the quality of life and generate greater opportunities for the population neighboring its facilities.
