PETROPERU promotes equal opportunities for women
Within the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, PETROPERU - in coordination with the Ministry of Women - held the keynote conference "Respect for women: commitment of all" by Ana Sayán, a coaching specialist, addressed to all its workers.
The talk was held in the Auditorium of the main headquarters of the Company, in Lima, and was transmitted via videoconference to its different locations throughout the country.
During the activity, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PETROPERU, Carlos Paredes Lanatta, said that it is an objective of the Company to achieve a tangible improvement in the issue of gender equity, promoting the development and equal opportunities for women.
Along these lines, the state oil company joined the “Violence disguised as love” campaign whose purpose is to highlight expressions of erroneous masculinity and motivate behavior change, with the purpose of avoiding cases of aggression and violence against women.
It should be noted that PETROPERU and the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations recently signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement by means of which they undertake to promote the full exercise of rights and a life free of violence, lack of protection and discrimination for women.
