PETROPERU promotes cycling in Ilo

PETROPERU, committed to improving the quality of life of people through sports, supported the IV Women's Cycling Competition held in the city of Ilo, in Moquegua.

The sporting event brought together athletes from Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Peru, who demonstrated all their professionalism in the four stages of the race, touring the districts of El Algarrobal and Pacocha, as well as tourist places throughout the province of Ilo.

Marcial Gonzales, president of the Ilo High Performance Association (ADARI) expressed his gratitude for the support of PETROPERÚ. "This event is taking a lot of relevance as Ilo is the headquarters of national women's cycling," he said.

He also stated that the last stage was carried out on Mariano Lino Urquieta Ave. This road was paved by the state company, as part of the fulfillment of the commitments assumed in the Dialogue Table.

These support actions are part of PETROPERU's Social Management Plan in the area of influence of its operations, and it bears witness to the Company's commitment to the progress and welfare of the population of Ilo.
