PETROPERU promotes culture in the Ilo anniversary week

The expectation was fulfilled, the documentary Planeta Oceano, projected in the amphitheater of the Ilo coastal seawall, attracted the interest of hundreds of people, who knew a little more about the care of the environment and, especially, of the flora and fauna of the oceans.

The documentary captivated the audience, not only for the impressive images but for the information that seeks to sensitize the viewer about the fragility of the sea before human intervention.

The day, sponsored by PETROPERU, was the prelude to the plan of activities carried out by the Company for the 48th anniversary of this port in the south of the country, and which today continued with the delivery of more than a hundred books to school libraries of five schools in the area.

The educational institutions benefiting from the Copé Ediciones publications, such as poetry, stories and essays, as well as works of Peruvian literature, were Jorge Basadre Grohmann, Domingo Savio, Ricardo Palma, San Francisco de Asís, and José Pardo y Barreda. Subsequently, Vicente López de Oñate will be handed over to the CEBA.

At the ceremony, held at the House of Culture of Ilo, participated the deputy manager of Social Development of PETROPERU, Juan Martín Angulo. Also, officials of the Provincial Municipality of Ilo, teachers, students and parents.

One of the most anticipated activities of the Ilo anniversary week is the musical presentation of the prestigious singer Cecilia Barraza, who will be on Thursday 24 at the Coastal Seaboard, in front of the Municipal Palace, and where she will delight the population with her show "Noches de Encanto". Your presence is assured from 7 o'clock at night.
