PETROPERU promotes a culture of safety and health at work
With the active participation of its workers and the personnel of its contractor companies, PETROPERU successfully carried out the Occupational Safety and Health at Work Week in all the headquarters of its operations at a national level, which included training and recreational activities, in which the importance of doing the work in a safe and healthy way was highlighted.
These actions were carried out the days prior to the celebration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, through which it seeks to promote safe, healthy and dignified work. It was established by the International Labor Organization (ILO) on April 28 from 2003.
Since its inception, PETROPERU has developed a safety culture. It is the first hydrocarbon company in the country to be certified in the Integrated System of Corporate Management, which includes the international standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
Along these lines, it conducts training on safety issues not only for its workers but also for our contractors, where 4208 man-hours of driver training stand out, which demonstrates the company's commitment to the prevention of risks and conditions. of security.
It maintains high safety standards in the execution of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT) where more than 15 million hours have been achieved without incapacitating accidents. The execution of this project is carried out simultaneously with the operation of the current refinery.
