PETROPERU's Sub-Manager of Social Development, Tomás Flores Noriega, informed the representatives of the dialogue table that the state company immediately ordered the hiring of tankers to distribute water to the human settlements of the Pampa Cordillera as soon as the stock-out occurred. the damages caused to the infrastructure by the rains and flooding of rivers in the Moquegua region. "They have sent us a new request to expand our support, which will be coordinated with the Provincial Municipality of Ilo and the Sanitation Service Provider Company (EPS) of Ilo," the official said.

Similarly, he said that the presence of the local burgomaster at the meeting has been important, since he has been presented with an account of the social work developed in 2018, thanks to which PETROPERU has generated an articulation with the authorities and the different actors involved. in the table.
